Mark chose to leave this painting incomplete. The print depicts five people in a row, three men and two women the middle two people have been left only as sketches while the others have been filled in. In the bottom right corner Mark wrote: "Santa Ana Aug. 2nd 1846". Edward Walhouse Mark was born in Malaga, Spain
