Domaine des Baumard Anjou Chenin Blanc Pic Martin 2022 SCCOS A recent addition from onlyBaumard made their name on sweet Chenin Quarts de Chaume, Coteaux du Layon, the wines that proved Anjou could do sugar and electricity at the same time. Pic Martin is the other side of the coin: bone dry Chenin Blanc from a single four acre plot with southwest exposure, and a new cuvee from the next generation of the family. Schist, sandstone and volcanic soils give it a hard mineral core, and whole bunch pressing keeps everything clean and precise.
