Inspired by the Turkish baths of Jermyn Street Mayfair, which from which William Penhaligon first found inspiration: Hammam Bouquet, created in 1872. When trimming, amongst others, the Shah of Persias beard in 1871, William Penhaligon esteemed barber was fond of using a splash of eau de toilette. Hammam Bouquet was his first creation. The beginning of a long and remarkable story in smell.
