Many wines from 2011 in the Willamette Valley were rather thin and tart. They say wines from a cool vintage are meant for the cellar, but I found that all too many from 2011 were still too hollow, even with some cellar time. Not so with this one. This wine brought a complex array of red fruits, earth notes, forest floor, and had a nice filled out mid palate that made it both intriguing
