This is an original 1843 hand colored woodblock print of the King of Boussa. Period Paper is pleased to offer an exceptionally rare and beautiful collection of original woodblock prints of ethnic costumes. These gorgeous prints date from the mid 19th century. They are hand colored and embellished with gum arabic (a technique used to enhance and preserve hand colored prints in special collections from this era). Prints like these are
