Barrymore, whose real name was Herbert Blythe was born in England and studied law before turning to the stage. He was a playwright as well as an actor. He married Georgie Drew in 1877. On the reverse: Jessie Bartlett Davis. She was a successful contralto singer with The Bostonians.
