The Battle of Flamborough Head was a naval battle that took place on 23 September 1779

that was handmade in Italy in 1944 after the 88th deployed there in early 1944

1945 the POWs were all sitting in a ditch next to the River Elbe near Lauenburg

Raised in 1806 in New York City due to rising tensions with Great Britain the 11th became the 2nd Battalion of the 3rd Regiment of Artillery

This is a rare Swedish M 1834 Rifled Percussion musket, with an even rarer experimental sight system. This great example was manufactured in 1845 by the Husqvarna Vapenfabrik arms factory, as indicated by the large H over 1845 on the lock plate. The lock is also fitted with an early Doglock type safety on the hammer, though it also does have a true half cock position. There is an identification label on the left
