and certainly the arm once held something--perhaps a staff

written with a fine point but very clearly readable all the way through

I picked this one from a lot of a dozen or so fashion type drawings all by the same maker

and some empty holes in the wood too where some have been lost

but why would one want to do that when there is so much that is amazing out there

Carved to house pin cushions, and they once did, with just a little glue residue remaining inside their more roughly carved interiors. No matter, they're great! 5 1 8" l x 3 4" w x 1 3 4" t.
