Heaten wooden boxer which the young owner seemsThere's a tear to the canvas at upper left, showing a bit of the stretcher underneath, but I find that antique seascapes of this ilk tend to feel all the more moody and atmospheric for the wear and tear on them. And I love the effect of varnish on these old paintings too, making the greens and blues feel otherworldly but also very true to the drama of the sea. Moody and radiant and packing a big visual punch for a small painting. 9 7 8" x 8". General
