Description

The nails connecting the cutout to the doorstop piece are a little loose but will push back in all the way if they wiggle out a bit

and as if he is about to crack a joke

perhaps in lieu of a dinner bell

This seems to be the largest of the cans the Cambridge

Spilling forth  are what appear to be vines to the right

Vintage Native American Beadwork Chief in Profile alarm rattle The nails connecting the cutoutI purchased this one in Maine, from a seller dealing mostly in Northeast Coast Native pieces, which this is, clearly made for tourist market, I believe likely 1940s 50s or so. The beads are tiny and the beadwork very skillfully done, backed with leather and with a safety pin stitched on. 5" t x 4" w and in excellent condition, with beads tightly held and no losses at all that I can see.
