Description

This piece is very finely woven in wool on a cotton weft

with no incorporation of raffia

with the Festhalle (exhibition hall) in the background

and gallerist Chris Ritter (1906-1976)

front door (I really like that drawing just as a drawing)

Humphrey Bogart with Cigarette, Charmingly Naive Vintage Graphite Drawing mexican folk art shoe form This piece is very finelyJust a fun one; Humphrey Bogart forever. Rendered in graphite, charmingly naive, signed at lower right. C. 1980s I believe I found it (at Brimfield) along with a second portrait by the same person (since sold) of Tammy Faye Baker! 10 1 8" x 8 1 8" framed, under glass, inexpensive metal frame, as found. Ribbed texture of cardboard backing has resulted in some corresponding light toning, which just seems all of a piece with it.
