I do believe this little box is at least a century old and I'd guess quite a bit older than that

but thanks to a handy attribution written by his maker on the back of the base

Both are in excellent condition with no signs of wear of flaws

They are made of turned and painted wood with colorful chromolithographed paper decoration and tapered "legs" screwed to wood bases

Nicely Carved Antique Boot Shaped Vesta, A Pair Buton bottle I do believe this littleI love an old carved old shoe or boot, and even better to have a pair with heels! Hollowed out inside, these I believe were carved of walnut and made to use as vesta (match holders), and I think they likely date to the 19th century. Very nicely carved and super sculptural, as if there were feet squeezed inside! Not tiny: each measures approx 3 3 4" t x 2 3 4" l x 1 3 16: w. Very good condition, with one tiny nick along the edge of the toe on one of
