The award document indicates that it was awarded to Grenadier Hans Tiebel of 5. Pz. Gren. Regt. 63 (5th Company of Panzer Grenadier Regiment 63). This is a rank equivalent to a U. S. Army Private. It was awarded on 2. April 1943 for a single injury sustained on 11. 1. 1943. ;
