Zulu War Iklwa Short Spear Cleaned & Complete Antique Guns soldiers since 1943New Made Item: New production copied directly from an original in the IMA collection. Under Shaka Zulu, the Zulu warrior carried a short stabbing spear with an approximate 8 inch blade over 1. 5 inches wide fastened with wire wrapping to a 30" long wooden shaft. The ZULU IKLWA is a shorter style assegai. This weapon was known as the iklwa or ixwa for the sound that was heard as it was withdrawn from the victim's wound. Made famous in the Zulu Wars of
