it is dated 1/1/40 at bottom right

but might guess 1940s

just a wonderful example of stunning form following function

Barn-Shaped Old Handmade Wood and Wire Birdcage painted wood owl I believe these date fromThis wonderful old barn shaped wood and wire bird cage was clearly made with a lot of love and care, and it is wonderfully wonky, with no right angles to be found! To me it's like a three dimensional drawing, a beautiful interplay of lines in space. My favorite thing about it, though, may be its tension mounted door, which takes a strong pull to open, then closes with a very satisfying thwack! Definitely this could still be used to house a little
