This is a very nice single shot double action pocket percussion pistol, made circa 1845 very much in the style of Allen and Thurber, a well known producer of both single shot pistols and pepperbox revolvers. The pistol is relatively worn on the outside, and shows signs of a lot of cleaning on the exterior rear barrel area.
