Now the very dark green exterior of the helmet has been hand painted with  a big hand painted white shield in the middle of which is a large "rampant" bear surmounted by a Crown/Coronet above the shield representing the ancient  Arms of the City of Berlin

Original Item: Adopted late in WWI this is the mounting bracket to be bolted directly below the right hand feed tray slot to hold the 100 belt carrier on the MG 08 Maxim

Original British Vickers WWI Dated Mk I Oil Can Spanish Military Equipment Now the very dark greenOriginal Item: We have found a few Mk I oil cans dated from WW1. This is the first oil can issued with the Vickers Medium Machine Gun. The can is constructed of plated steel with a brass screw cap. Ours are the early version with a brush attached to the cap. The capacity is 0. 5 pint. The official name is CAN, OIL, MG, MK I, and it was introduced in February of 1915. These are all marked T. E. BLADON&SON LTD followed by the date. See Dolf Goldsmith,
