but one of the reasons I love these old postcards so much is for their elusiveness 100+ years later

but with no information on his maker or exact age

Terrific Old Handmade Red White and Blue Knit Sock Doll Canton porcelain box But lucky for a NovemberLove at first sight with this guy, made by someone a hundred years ago or so with a great aesthetic sensibility I think! Perfect choice of buttons for his wide eyes, and great red yarn nose and mouth, with interesting braid like stitching for the mouth. Plus this terrific incorporation of blue and red knit to make a sort of vest, and pompoms for flourish everywhere!
