This is a gorgeous Great War Fore and Aft Bicorn chapeau bras collapsible hat for an officer in the Imperial German Navy, or Kaiserliche Marine, circa 1890 1918. Black beaver pelt with gilt wire and white Ostrich features around the brim. The name Tamke is written on the lining, but there is no maker mark. The chapeau is in fantastic condition without any serious dents or damage, with the cockade still fully retained
