Unfortunately all that remains of the chinstrap in this helmet is the metal clip attached to the left side loop

Now we are honestly unsure as to what the decoration was used for but it does have an odd beauty about it

From what we can see there are definitely pictures of two different destroyed / captured Tiger tanks

This is an excellent barely used example of the classic later pattern HJ Knife
