This example is in excellent condition with a lovely scabbard

Jacket is in size US 42 and has retained mostly original components including original knit waist band and period replaced sleeve cuffs

US M1878 Canteen with a tan canvas cover with a very clear U. S. stencil on the front, in good condition with the original issue leather sling. There are other stenciled numbers which could be regimental, including E over 4, and 13 on the other side. The canteen is complete with its original cork stopper secured to the neck of the canteen by a brass ring and chain. The cork itself is complete but has shrunk due to
