Alice Nanogak (Goose) (1925- 2001) was born in the Baillie Islands

and an old lead plate on the underside

but overall good condition with the drawings clear and dark and very readable

green equals good deeds done

Lacquered Papier Mache Snuff Box dansk teak coasters I love the cutout edgesI'm so often struck by the playful the use of language on 19th century objects, from snuff to Battersea boxes, and on transferware pottery, too. This snuff box I believe dates to the 1820s or so, as I've found a few other examples with gold text of a similar ilk, and I especially love seeing the use of "Holla" on this one! Pretty fun. 2 7 8" x 1 3 4" x 3 4". Good condition, with a little surface lost on the face, as evident. Great structural condition.
