Atmospheric Oil on Canvas Landscape with Farm House by Emile Stange doll leg but it's Randolph Madlem's transcriptionHappily, this impressionistic oil on canvas landscape is signed on reverse, and in a readable fashion, so I know it was painted by Emile Stange, with a quick search turning up a fair number of sale records for other paintings by the New Jersey based artist, 1863 1943, who seems to have exhibited actively between the late 1800s and 1930s. He seems to have primarily painted landscapes, much in keeping with this one, which I'd guess dates to the 1920s. I
