11 3/4" in diameter x 1" tall and in excellent condition without a flaw that I can find

I can't believe I knew nothing of him

it would be easy to tie a string or ribbon around the end and hang it from the wall just to admire it

warmly worn around the edges

but clearly this was used as a drawing board in a school

Very Endearing Early Staffordshire Little Lamb star design 11 3/4" in diameter xI've left this little Staffordshire lamb with its full patina on it; a soak might whiten it up some, but part of why I love it so much is that it looks it has lived quite a life, which certainly it has, dating to the 1840s or so. Wonderfully textural treatment of the wool, and wonderful little hand painted face, making this lamb look a a bit forlorn as it lounges on its little island, with a band of gold paint around the bottom perimeter.
