but I am certain it included the work of Jacquer Poirer (1928–2002) whose trompe l'oeil painting is reproduced on the poster

)  I've learned that she is one of a set of 16 such dolls

and handy for holding pins and needles

In addition to the fabulous paint job, I really love how the smaller front wheels tip this dog forward, such that he really seems as if he's riding a scooter. The shape of the whole is really pretty great, including those stippled black whiskers! 10 1 2" l x 7 5 8" t x 5 1 4" w. He lost his nose at some point, which was glued back on and is not loose.
