Based on the manner of the carving, I believe they are likely Puerto Rican, early 20th century. The paint has aged and eroded in quite a wonderful, almost miraculous feeling way, especially the color on his robe, showing a combination of baby blue and a verdigris sort of green, as well as bare wood in spots.
