Super Crisp Hand-tinted 19th C. Tintype Portrait of Handsome and Moody Young Man carved wooden Hitler figure and I think ChineseLots of tintype portraits out there, but this one really struck me in part for the quality and clarity of the tintype itself, extremely sharp and crisp, and with the solid cream ground making the image feel to my eye quite contemporary in sensibility. Then there is handsome and also vulnerable looking him, with hand tinted cheeks, a subtle shadow of stubble, and every strand of carefully combed hair crystal clear and accounted for, looking to me
