Scarce WWI French M 1915 Officers Kepiin Horizon Blue Wool. Pre Early WWI French Uniforms were Dark Blue and Red. In 1915 the standardization of the Horizon Blue uniforms became universal, with the older style uniforms becoming rapidly replaced. As most field grade uniform pieces were very well used, very little has survived to the present day. This is a unique cap in that no rank insignia was ever applied. Only the
