with a 24" octagonal barrel and much original bluing still intact along with traces of case hardening in places

The other side of the blade is marked STAINLESS

but it is not clear if this is a finish or the color of the baleen

Only One Lot Available. This is a great pair of WWI Training swords, an extremely scarce M1913 Wicker Basket cavalry training sword with a spare blade. The wicker basket guards were slide on and fit perfectly onto the end of the blade. There are grooves in the wooden blade so its known where to hold. The blades measure roughly 41 and are marked R. I. A. 1913. The wicker basket guard is woven with two small slits for the blade to slide
