and with the mirror still in pretty much perfect condition

and it is fairly hard not to want to gently hoot when you have it on

but the skillfulness of the carving and beauty of the wood make it feel like quite an elegant thing

he also seems perhaps to have been been albino

SOLD Old Carved Folk Art Leaping Deer with Nail Eyes antique scrolled wrought iron but it has definitely livedI believe this sweet old carved deer once stood on a post, as there is a small hole in her belly, and certainly she could be given a stand once again, though I like her just as she is, simultaneously leaping and resting. A lot of years on her for sure, late 19th very early 20th c. I would think, with a beautifully elongated head that adds to a sense of (aero)dynamism, long ears pointing in the opposite direction, and brass nails for eyes. Plus
