one-piece dark walnut grips are in good condition and are complete with military inspector’s cartouches faintly visible on left side

This example has a matching serial number 87008 on both the blade and the throat of the scabbard

However it looks like eventually it ended up in the hands of a "son of Liberty" for the Revolutionary war
