The box shows some wear and tape on the sides but is structurally in great shape

and still screws on easily and holds tight

Initialed EMB it appears and dated 1903 at lower right

Some of them also etched with a "K", which I think might indicate that they were very early creations of the Kimble Class Co. of Chicago, established in 1901 I believe, and which specialized in glass tubing and laboratory glass.
