The back can be slightly opened, but it does not make a big difference if you open it or not in order to put it on, because the bangle is not really adjustable. The inside is stamped with three original egyptian hallmarks. Measurements are: Inner Diameter: 2. 4" (6. 1cm) Total circumference: 18cm (7") Weight: 24gr.
