The cup is dated 1918 by AGM Co, the Canteen is dated 1942 by M. A. Co., and the cover is undated. The belt is marked with his laundry number, S4263. Shields served overseas from December 17th, 1943 until May 24th, 1945, for 17 months overseas. He
