Original German WWII USGI Captured Flag Insignia Section Used as Canvas for 1945 Dated Painting - 25 ½" × 21 ½" Category_Blunderbuss including Der Führer Adolf HOriginal Item: One of a kind. Here we have a very interesting piece of USGI Art, which looks to have been painted during the immediate post war occupation period in Germany. Framed, it measures 25 " 21 ", with the canvas itself measuring 21 " 17 ". Close examination however shows that the canvas itself was made using part the central swas (hook cross) portion of a German WWII NSDAP flag, which can be seen on the reverse.
