Just purchased at a recent large military auction, this is straight out of the attic! Offered as is, this is a very nice French Charleville M 1763 style musket, much in the style of the muskets used by the Continental Army during the U. S. revolutionary war. Once as numerous as Brown Bess Muskets the French equivalent was referred to as the CHARLEVILLE Musket, and there were a multitude of versions over the years.
