I love early watercolored lettering and diagrams just about as much as anything in the world (and have also been kind of obsessed with sun dials lately) so just swooned when I saw these

with one tiny nail hole in the wood at upper right

Happily it stands tall and steady now on its own

Leave it to a young child to distill something to its essence. And as such this feels like it holds a whole world in it, including planes going down in ways unimagined in 1931. 8 1 4" x 6 1 4". Irregular right edge as evident and a few smudges. Graphite on lined paper (more bold in hand) with some beautiful, emphatic seeming lettering and scribbling on reverse too.
