Heart, Bible, Flower, Three Hand-sewn Devotional "Breverl" with Wire, Metallic Thread and Beaded Decoration heavenly light The paint is pretty stableI didn't really know what these were when I found then, in Lancaster County, PA, but with their wire and metallic thread decoration they reminded me of antique reliquaries, and of course the Bible being a miniature book, complete with gold edged real paper pages, I was sold. A little research has lead me to understand that these are "Breverl" miniature devotional talisman of sorts, which, made by nuns to be worn around the neck to protect the owner,
