This is a very interesting example of the French Modle 1816 Flintlock pistol, released just after the end of the Napoleonic wars. In design it is nearly identical to the later Modle 1822, except that is is about 3 4 inches longer. This example is in fantastic condition, and is still in the original flintlock configuration! Almost all of these transitional models were later shortened to the Mle 1822 standard. These in
