Stanley and a few other tool makers produced beautiful bone rulers

I believe they must have been produced in a small batch--this set once the property of The Reading Center in Boston--and are housed in a blue cloth covered box with silver text

It appears to be signed Walker at lower right

with just a bit of loss to the finish at one end
