which at least for me feels quite romantic and inspires a longing for adventure

though now I think I might mount him on the wall balanced on a few strategically placed nails

I love the use of white paint outlining their lower bodies

with just a few that have gone missing since 1903

All cut from one piece of paper, folded at every other cut to form diamonds within the larger diamond (or an eight pointed star.) 3" x 3 1 16" and in very good condition, with minor toning. 19th c. I believe.
