I've found some old sets of penguin shaped skittles or ten pins

I've learned that it was made by Schieble Toy and Novelty Co of Dayton

as well as a different subject named on the front

clearer and easier to read than my photos portray

I believe this basket dates to the 19th century and is native to New England

One can also I think feel the brightness of the sun lighting them from behind, with the tall, straight backed posture of the boy seeming as if determined to shade against it. 3 7 16 x 5 7 16 and in very good condition. Unused back.
