This is an original WWII US Navy USN (also used by the USMC) AV 475 Black Leather Pilot's Flying Helmet. This helmet is constructed of leather on the exterior and lined with soft suede on the interior. It features removable ear cup covers in order to accommodate a headset. The web elastic chinstrap is present (normally missing) and fully functional. It is a size small which will fit up to a size 7 1 4 head (58cm).
