M17 Elbow Telescope, used with the standard M1917 155mm Howitzer, the French designed Canon de 155 C modle 1917 Schneider. The telescope was used to aim the canon properly in various conditions. The metal data plate on the sight reads: TELESCOPE, ELBOW M17 NO. ????? ????? MINNEAPOLIS HONEYWELL REG. CO. 1943 The data plate is oxidized, so unfortunately the serial number and other
