but much rarer to find an early cast iron one

Mischler who drew it seems to have had a business "furnishing plans and giving estimates" though I can't imagine his plan here for a rubber band powered "Automoble" [sic] was an especially lucrative job! I really love it as a stand alone drawing and plan though, with this very chipper looking vehicle rendered in profile and from below, and then wonderfully dense grid below carefully charting
