The paper has a little bit of a sheen

10 5/8" t x 10 1/2" w x 6 1/2" d and in very good condition

and the wood painted a now much mellowed gold

thought to have been brought from Spain to France

There seems to have been a set of eight plates produced with single "harpies"--but this  oval plate with a pair of them seems much rarer (I found just two out there anywhere like this one

Probably 1940s or so, with the paint almost entirely gone from the flat top, but holding on nicely to the rest of it, with the wear just where it should be. Sturdy, sound, with nice clean lines this one would be especially nice I think for
