I believe it was sculpted by hand and is signed on the bottom with what appears to read "THacaring" or similar

rendered on fine china

I've also seen notes that the lid was designed to  serve as a sort of pedestal for the bowl in serving

I believe in fact Mexican, and maybe 1930 40s? The combo of faded hot pink and slightly acid yellow is just perfect, and then her great simply painted face. I also love that the candle holder is behind her, such that a lit candle would just cast her in a glow. Great. 4 1 2" t x 1 7 8" w x 2 1 2" d. There is old glue holding her broken
