The left side of the barrel is marked with both the "Tower of Liège" and the E / L G / * in an oval proof marks from Liège

Of particular interest is the "Flat Nosed Muzzle Gland" only found on really early Vickers Guns which were soon superseded by the "Pointed Nose" variety of the later WW1 and continued up through the WW2 years

which was probably removed when it was taken off the door by a USGI

This is a very nice early HJ Knife (HJ knife) marked on the blade by the small firm of Gustav Voss, Messerfabrik, of Solingen. This early HJ Knife is a solid example of the type, with a handle that is nickel plated over a steel base. The plating still remains in very good condition, with about 75% still intact, with a lovely patina. The acid etched motto Blut und Ehre! (Blood and Honor!) is present and legible in the
