Glass from this era is one of the earliest examples of glassblowing known in human history, and was a popular way to create jewelry, containers, and artwork in the Roman empire. The fragment measures 1. 336" and was recovered from the Black Sea. This particular piece has a sterling silver backing and an 18" chain.
