This is an excellent example of a 1952 manufactured M1 helmet liner by Westinghouse utilized & painted by a Staff Sergeant in the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne. Although at this point, the official designation for the 506th was the 506th Airborne Infantry Regiment. The colors of the 101st were reactivated as a combat division in 1956 under the Pentomic structure, which eliminated infantry regiments and
